What Spec Might you go?

Im going DPS, just wanted to see what we have in our guild so far

I'll go DPS. I've never really liked tanking; I prefer doing damage.

Considering there is no "Healer" class, I'm wondering if TOR's setup will really fall into this cookie-cutter archetypes. However, when it comes to most games, I tend to do very well as a Medic class. Absent of that, I'll probably go DPS.

see, this is where I get frustrated with MMOs. They all have this kind of stuff. I really hope that tOR beats the pattern.

If they make it like WoW, where if you are a warrior, then you are a warrior, a mage, a mage, that would suck, in my opinion.

That would defeat the whole "open world and options" type of outlook that KoTR and KoTR II had. I hope they do it like where if I decide to be a trooper, then I get a bonus in my dexterity in strength, but I get to upgrade my stealth if i wanted to.

Anyone know what I am talking about?

I know exactly what you're saying. Make the playable clases in such a way like KotOR I and KotOR II.

Exactly, Kimes. So classes would be more for perks, or 'feats' than for the actual structure of your character. I think that is how they had originally done Star Wars Galaxies?

I'm still not buying that the standard mmo system is going to be reliable ... but if it is, Garden will be a Tank - so long as he can tank with a sword and shield.

I doubt there will be shields. I think TOR will lean away from the traditional MMO system, as people said. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Besides, this isn't some WoW, i have a sword and hack while you heal me, lots of shooting or your a jedi, or some dude with a sword.

Most classes seem to me like their own thing, not so much dps, tank , etc.

Usually I've played a hybrid of some sort. I plan to do that in this game if possible. If not, I'll probably play a DPS character.

Heimdall, I think you should add some medic abilities to your skill tree... then we could call you Mandalore Suture.

Anyways, I always like to wait until I can see the trees of the classes first. Then I can mix and match and build something that will fit my character the most appropriately. As well as filling in spaces the clan may need - perhaps some healing on the side might not be a bad thing for the vast number of damage dealers we seem to have.

I usually play support characters first and that is Probably where I will be here. ALthough it does depend heavily on what type of specs trooper or bounty hunter have as that is probably what I will be playing as my Main

Healing and stealthing are what I'm good at. I'm really hoping for a healing tree on the smuggler. Tracyn had sent me a cool interview about it, but stupid me has gone and lost the linky for it. :(
