Dha-Kad

This is a short story about how A'den and Dha-Kad met.
The last rays of natural light flashed over the cockpit of the fighter, replaced by the artificial light of Coruscant, with the thousands of lights flashing like some great battle seen from space. As the fighter dipped into the atmosphere, small flames began to play across the fighters shields. As the fighter slipped into the upper atmosphere, the amount of transport in the sky grew until it was impossible to see the surrounding space-scrappers. As the matte black fighter flew lower and lower into the dark depths of the city, wealthier speeders became a rare sight, only those that had seen a few fire fights where appearing now.
“Hmm.... This looks like a fun place to live...” A’den commented, as he looked out the view screen to see the dark and damp, underground of Coruscant. Dha-Kad moved the fighter to the hanger, that was darker then the pitch black night outside. As the fighter moved silently into the hanger, the fighter blended in with the shadows. Dha turned and shut of the drives and the onboard computer, as A’den climbed out and moved to the cargo hold, stretching after the hours sat in the co-pilots seat. Dha jumped out of the fighter closing the hatch as he did, and activating the personal security on it, sending lightning arcs flickering around it.
He moved to the cargo hold, watching A’den eye the hardware that he had stored there. He noticed him staring at a particular blaster, a Arkanian blaster, that he had acquired a few years before. “Have it” it said to him, and moved to collect his Verpine, and other personal weapons. “Are you serious?” A’den replied astonished “You do know that these things are very, very expensive..... I mean thank you Dha” he quickly said, after he noticed Dha staring at him, the pain of that fight in the torture room, still fresh in his mind. Dha stood and rummaged around in the hold throwing a some old republic armour at him, “Stick this on, your no use to me dead,” and with that he walked off into the Courscant night not waiting for A’den to catch up.....
The cantina hummed with life, as twi’lik girls and drunken patrons, danced around each other or sat in shadow covered corners, sipping drinks. The bartender looked up as a Mandalorian covered in black Beskar’gam, marched towards him, and grabbed him around the neck, and showed him a photo of a man. The bartender, gasped with breath as the crush gauntlets slowly crushed his windpipe, and pointed towards a back room, one that had two Gamorrean armed with blasters on either side of the door.
Dha dropped the Bartender as he and A’den moved up to the door. He is going to be a great Mandalorian thought Dha, as he watched A’den cover the room as they moved to the door. As they approached the door, the Gamorrean stepped out of the way indicating that they could go through, Smart Gamorrean’s... huh.... that makes a change. As Dha moved to the right of the door, A’den moved to the left, he noticed how quite the cantina was, and also how empty.
Wow you learn something new every day..... Smart Corusanti A’den thought, as he watched Dha give the countdown, and the hand signal for a door breach. “Where did you learn your combat skills Dha-Kad?” “Quite!” Dha whispered down the mike, as he moved in front of the door lifting his boot in preparation of kicking the door down, and unleashing hell inside the room.....
A’den quietly pulled the pins on two concussions grenades, and as Dha kicked the door in he launched them over the warriors shoulder and into the room. As he felt the two waves of noise and force slam into him , he moved into the doorway after Dha and fired into the room. He took a quick look around before diving into cover, “Three Humanoids,” He shouted to Dha, “One in Mandalorian armour, and two in plain clothes!” as he finished Dha signalled that he agreed and stood up and opend up with the verpine, ripping the throat out of one of the plain clothed men, and breaking the seal on the Mandalorians calf plate. He heard the Mandalorian swear as he charged forwards, taking Dha in hand to hand combat.
Dha quickly fell into a defensive pose fending off the Mandalorian, and blocked a number of blows from landing on him, but still feeling the force behind them. As the Mandalorian went to take a swing at him with a Beskar covered gauntlet, Dha stepped into the strike catching it with his right hand while delivering a head but to the helmeted Mando. As the Mando staggered back, Dha slowly crushed his hand in his crush gauntlets, and opened up his external speakers “Which clan are you?” he demanded of the Mandalorian kneeling in front of him.
“I will not tell you......” he said through clenched teeth, but Dha could see from his body position that he was close to breaking. “Tell me,” Dha asked calmly again. The man screamed in pain and the cracking of bones could be heard over the loud cantina music still in the background, “Okay!” The Man screamed, “I am from Concord Dawn, and I am from the clan Surtr. I came here searching for those that call themselves the ‘Champions of Mandalore’” Dha loosened his grip slightly, then asked another question “Why are you searching for them?”, as the man went to answer Dha ripped his helmet off revealing an old man. “They are an offshoot of our own clan; they are lead by a man called Hemidal. He was to be the head of our clan, but Jaskr over threw him, and now we follow him, and with him the Sith. Hemidal hates the Sith and decided to fight for the Republic. Jaskr has sent me to find them and report their location to him. Here is his location.” As he said that the man drew out a data pad with a system showing on it. Talus Dha thought, In the Correilla System I will have to follow this up..... When I have the chance.....
CRACK, Dha looks down at the old man in front of him, now with a neck twisted at an odd angle. He looked up at A’den and nodded with satisfaction that he had the courage to complete a mercy kill, then Dha went to one of the other dead men and rummaged around in his possessions looking for the object that his contractor desired Ah ha here it is Dha chuckled to himself as he pulled out a little trinket, and matched it against the image his contractor had given him, So much death for such a little thing He quickly sent a pre-recorded message to the contractor and told him that he would meet him at his apartment later for his money. He turned to A’den, “Okay boy, this is where I leave you, go back to the Army, but keep the weapon, just in case.” Dha placed a hand on his shoulder then walked out of the room, whistling to himself inside his helmet and walked off into the Coruscant night.....
