A’den wondered how anybody could ever be a transport pilot. Flying some of the most dangerous missions and having no way to defend your self didn’t really appeal to A’den. Looking over the assortment of men and women before him, A’den couldn’t help but feel a tinge of pride. These soldiers were thrown together at the last minute, yet they were showing those stoic features that were so valued in the Army.

“Most of them are just kids” thought A’den as he looked over them one last time.

Suddenly the co-pilot craned his neck around and shouted into the troop bay “We’re coming up on the cruiser, get into your positions!”

The troopers calmly stood up and seemed almost uncaringly to get into their assigned roles. They looked like the definition of calm on the outside, but A’den knew otherwise, because he was feeling the same anxiety that they were.

The pilot’s face was glued to his screen, and with a click of a button the onboard AI began to count down in its robotic voice.

“Countdown initiated”

“Five”

“Four”

“Three”

“Two”

“One”

With a sudden metallic thump that shook everybody in place, the transport was attached to the bridge. The boarding tube, a large circular hallway that let 8 men through at one time, attached itself to the nearest viewport. With a dull thud followed by a sharp crack and the sound of falling glass, the viewport was breached and A’den with his troopers ran through the breach.

Jumping out onto the deck A’den brought his two-handed vibroblade down on the nearest Ensign manning a console. The blade passed right through his torso and through his heart before lodging itself into his ribs with a sickening crack. Not taking the time to pull out the blade, A’den took out his pistols and began firing. He was looking for the captain.

Several opponents later, A’den finally found the captain. He lined up his shot, but was suddenly knocked to the ground as a republic trooper with half his face gone crashed into him. A nearby pirate took this opportunity to rush him with a vibroblade, but as he closed in and was ready to strike, a blade suddenly emerged out of his midsection. Looking to see who his savior was, A’den was surprised to see that it was the awkward Officer. Before he could nod a thank-you to him, he once again caught site of the captain.

He was standing over three dead republic troopers. This sight enraged A’den, and he began charging at the captain, and unleashed a quick salvo with his pistols. Two bolts hit the captain in the midsection and the other 3 simply hit the wall behind him. Running at full speed A’den took out a thermal detonator and tackled the doubled over captain with all his might. Satisfied to hear the sounds of his adversary’s ribs cracking, A’den quickly picked him up with one hand and stuck the detonator in the Sith captains pocket, then proceeded to throw him down the ventilation duct.

Only then did he notice that there was no more blaster fire, and that the smoke was clearing as the ventilation system began working in overtime. Looking over the remaining troopers, he was pleased to see that their computer expert was still relatively intact, besides for a few burns and cuts.

“Cut the power” A’den said with pure hatred in his voice.

(( This, like the last story, is testing out a writing style for me. I would appreciate if you all told me what I could change to make it better. ))

[ooc: I'm not an expert and don't have a diploma, but I thought it was a quite pleasant read ^^]
