Who thinks they should make Smuggler a playable class? It doesn't seem very heroic.

good, no reason why they wouldn't. It make since for the timeline and the blockades and such.

I think it will be - Han Solo is one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars Universe and I can't imagine his profession not being in the game.

I certainly think they should. Why have BH class if not Smuggler? Like Han Solo without Boba, just isn't star wars then.

I might even roll one possibly if they do.

Smuggler's might be the equivalent of bounty hunters for the Republic. I was reading a article on the star wars wikia about how the Republic employed smugglers for getting past the blockades, in which many mandalorian bounty hunters participated.

It's Darims proffession. So would be neat to be able to select it.

I guess you guys have a point. Han Solo is an iconic smuggler, and the Republic did hire them to get past the blockade. However, other than smuggle stuff, what is a smuggler good at? Using a blaster pistol?

Well smuggling would fall under infiltration I guess. Which opens a whole new can of worms. You've got to have the people skills, the means with which to ship whatever it happens to be that you're smuggling, you've got to have some knowledge of how to fight in order to get yourself out of tight places, and so on and so forth. In effect its probably going to be harder to play a smuggler than say a soldier, since you're not going to want to just blow everything out of your way. That takes the sneaky fun out of everything.

That would be good, I guess. I'm hoping for a scout-type class, though. Maybe the Sith will get that.

I am most definitely hoping for a scout class. *crosses fingers*

How did they work in SWG? Were they buff/ranged DPS?

I don't really like the direction they've taken with this so far. To me it should have been similar to KotOR where you have a few basic classes (soldier, scout, etc) and then have specializations in certain types of weapons and what not. Then leave the smuggling and bounty hunting as "job" or "career" type deals.

It was pretty much broken for a long time to the point where they made it a melee/artillery class.
